Hexagon Classics Launches The Engine Room Events

Paul Michaels is proud to announce the creation of luxury meeting and event spaces at his famous Hexagon Classics Showroom in North London.

Paul is renowned for one of the finest classic car and modern art collections in Europe. The three new event spaces that now surround his collections create a truly unique atmosphere for both business and personal events.

V8 Room:

The V8 Room is the smallest of the event spaces, hosting events from 10 – 50 people. It is simple and contemporary, featuring natural daylight that floods through floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, beautiful ceramics and exceptional art adorning the walls. An intimate space, it is ideal for more familiar gatherings such as private dinners, meetings and intimate drinks receptions.

V12 Room:

The V12 Room is a blank canvas where clients can create their perfect setting to host dinners, receptions, brand launches or business lunches – even a wedding with a twist. Designed for up to 160 people, this space is versatile and adaptable with a more industrial vibe. It is smart and sleek, and features a minimal decor, tiled flooring, and dimmable lights – perfect for taking any event from daytime to evening.

Both event spaces include an efficiently designed cloakroom with built rails accommodating up to 250 coats, as well as a state of the art fitted kitchen that is more than equipped for any onsite caterer. With easy ground floor access, the kitchen is a dream to work in.

The Showroom

By day, The Showroom is home to around 70 classic cars. At night the space can be transformed to accommodate up to 250 seated guests underneath breathtakingly high glass ceilings, creating a dramatic setting for events such as wedding receptions to award ceremonies and fashion shows.

The Engine Rooms Restaurant

The Engine Rooms restaurant launched this summer featuring an all-day dining menu that creates the feel of Mediterranean dining, but with the very best of British ingredients complemented by exceptional European produce.

Spread across two levels, there is an outside area that is lined with an oasis of greenery and a retractable roof, creating a semi-exclusive space whatever the weather. Upstairs is a spacious mezzanine that can accommodate up to 35 people for an intimate dining experience. This comes with its own private roof terrace, perfect for pre-dinner drinks.

All spaces within the Engine Rooms hint of an industrial feel that keep the ambiance true to its roots as a car showroom.

Art is front and centre, adding to the overall charm and atmosphere. Meticulously sourced by Paul’s late wife, and curated by Natasha Michaels and Ben Mclaughlin, the building exhibits one-of-a-kind pieces. These include the rare ex-motor show Jaguar engine and original pieces from the Ferrari Museum. Memorabilia from Paul’s racing days, when Hexagon Racing was the most successful private entry into the Formula One Championship, are tastefully dotted here and there, completing the overall look.

Expertise is at the core of every part of The Engine Rooms Events. In-house wine expert and consultant, Bert Blaize, has sourced an exceptional wine list for the restaurant and wine bar. Bottles ‘N’ Jars, is our wonderful shop within the venue, which is thoughtfully curated to include wines, coffee, oils, pasta’s, chocolate and much more. It includes labels from small and sustainable vineyards and our wine expert can be on-hand to advise on the best wines to accompany any event, big or small.

The Engine Rooms has an in-house event management team who make sure that every aspect of every event is executed seamlessly. The Team is supported by an impressive list of preferred suppliers, including caterers, production companies, florists, videographers and photographers.
