Innes House, the distinguished 17th-century exclusive-use property nestled in the heart of Moray’s breathtaking countryside, is proud to announce the completion and opening of Viewfield Farmhouse — a newly renovated 5 bedroom self-catering property now available on the estate for bookings beginning June 2025.
Situated within 5,000 acres of picturesque farmland, paddocks, meadows, and mature woodlands, Innes House is renowned for its architectural elegance and tranquil setting. The launch of Viewfield Farmhouse follows the estate’s recent rebrand and forms part of a broader vision to expand the estate’s luxury accommodation options while preserving the historic integrity and charm of the estate.
Viewfield Farmhouse is the second renovated property to join the estate’s hospitality offering, following the successful development of The Gatehouse in 2022. This latest project has seen the transformation of a traditional farmhouse into a warm, sophisticated retreat that blends historic character with modern luxury. The renovation honours the building’s original charm while incorporating contemporary comforts designed for today’s discerning travellers.
“We are immensely proud of the enhancements of the Innes House brand,” said Edward and Zoë Tennant, custodians of the estate. “Our goal has always been to offer guests a home-away-from-home experience, and the rebrand and developments on the estate allow us to extend our hospitality to those seeking a private and immersive stay in the Scotland.” The house offers accommodation in 3 en-suite rooms and two additional rooms with shared facilities. A huge double height farmhouse kitchen with aga and all amenities provides a perfect gather space with double French doors leading onto a patio and steps up to the lawn. A spacious dining room perfect for entertaining and a warm sitting room with wood burning stove and stunning views across the estate. Zoë over saw the main aspects of the interiors working very closely with our in house seamstress Sandy who used to work closely with the late Hermione Tennant on the interiors of Innes. “We have been keen to keep the family feel throughout our properties so wherever you stay on the estate you get the same feeling of warmth and belonging’ says Zoe.
While Viewfield Farmhouse and The Gatehouse are available as independent holiday lets, they can also be booked in conjunction with Innes House (subject to availability), providing flexible accommodation options for larger groups, weddings, corporate retreats, and bespoke gatherings.
Guests staying on the estate will have the opportunity to explore the estate’s diverse landscapes, partake in local sporting activities, and immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the region. The estate’s location offers easy access to nature walks, mountain treks, golf and Scotland’s renowned whisky trails.
As Innes House continues to evolve, its commitment to providing exclusive, unforgettable experiences remains unchanged. The rebrand and expansion reflect a renewed vision—offering guests unparalleled access to one of Scotland’s most scenic and storied estates.
Bookings for Viewfield Farmhouse are now open for stays commencing June 2025.
