Wotton House has launched a new outdoor meetings concept that swaps four walls and formal networking for fresh air, open-fire cooking and countryside surroundings. The BBQ Boardroom combines focused business sessions with relaxed, food-led networking designed to get people talking, thinking and connecting differently.
Making full use of Wotton House’s 13 acres of Italianate Gardens, the purpose built Garden Kitchen is the centre piece of this new offering, supporting meetings and outdoor dining for up to 100 delegates beneath a stretch tent with fully integrated AV and Wi-Fi.
The space is suitable for strategy meetings and presentations, with the option of taking breakout sessions in deck chairs on the lawn and discussions or team building around the firepit, all delivered without compromising on core requirements such as AV, connectivity and flexibility.
As the agenda concludes, the focus shifts to outdoor dining, with the BBQ Boardroom menus centred around relaxed, local high-quality catering designed to encourage continued conversation and networking. Hyper locally-sourced produce, including ingredients grown on the estate, are used to create working lunch menus and shareable BBQ style dining, with wood-fired pizzas finished with honey from the hotel’s beehives alongside Wotton’s Edible Garden: pickled baby vegetables, hummus and dark rye soil.
This new space is available for exclusive hire, allowing corporate groups to create fully tailored programmes, from half-day meetings to multi-day events, all supported by Wotton’s on-site accommodation for residential retreats and team away days. Interactive elements can also be incorporated, such as gathering seasonal ingredients from Wotton’s Edible Garden, chef-led cookery demonstrations or collaborative outdoor dining activities, allowing delegates to connect with the estate, its produce and one another.
Designed for year-round use, the outdoor setup includes covered seating and heating to suit the changing British weather, with the option to combine the outside spaces with Wotton’s many indoor meeting spaces.
Edward Adshead, General Manager at Wotton House, said:
“Our BBQ Boardroom offering responds directly to what we’re seeing from corporate bookers, which includes demand for spaces that balance experience, productivity with wellbeing and genuine connection. Our fully functional meeting environment combined with an outdoor, food-led experience delivers on both business outcomes and delegate engagement, and brings a bit of the Wotton magic to the proceedings.”
