Central Hall Westminster to celebrate International Women’s Day with CORE IWD event and charity walk in aid of Women’s Trust

Central Hall Westminster (CHW), is proud to celebrate and show its support of International Women’s Day 2026, by hosting the CORE IWD event on Tuesday 10 March, alongside a team charity walk on Friday 6 March, to raise funds and awareness of Women’s Trust.

Located in the heart of Westminster, CHW is no stranger to hosting landmark gatherings, hosting suffragette meetings as far back as 1914 and this partnership with CORE recruitment underscores the venues continued commitment to both equality and community impact. This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain” is the focus of the event, looking at the power of mentorship, collaboration and the opportunity to drive progress for women across hospitality, retail, leisure and service sectors.

The programme features speakers including Dame Karen Jones, Kate Nicholls, and Sofia Cassne, panel discussions and networking sessions designed to inspire, celebrate and address barriers to women in business leadership.

Ahead of the IWD event, the team at CHW will take part in a six-mile charity walk on the afternoon of Friday 6 March, to raise funds and awareness in support of Women’s Trust, which was set up specifically to provide free and specialist counselling for women; to help them address the complex psychological trauma caused by domestic abuse, on their mental health and emotional wellbeing.

The six-mile walking route will align with half of the length of London’s Jubilee Line. The walk reinforces the venues belief that progress for women must extend beyond hosting events and taking true community action to inspire change.

As a venue rooted in history for holding some of the world’s biggest conversations, Central Hall Westminster is honoured to provide a platform for discussion that helps to shape a more equal world.
