Central Hall Westminster strengthens its venue development after completing recent support work

Central Hall Westminster (CHW) is focusing on its strategic development after successfully completing its guidance project through Central Hall Venues (CHV), its support network for Methodist venues, with Nicolson Square Edinburgh and St Saviourgate York now transitioned to independent operation.

Established in 2019, CHV was created to provide professional management, operational guidance and marketing expertise to Methodist venues across the UK. With the completion of the Edinburgh and York transitions, CHW is now focusing on strengthening and enhancing its London venue as part of its long-term development plans and to meet the demand of the London meetings and events industry.

The transition process began in December 2024, when Nicolson Square Edinburgh completed its move to independent management under new leadership. In November 2025, St Saviourgate York followed, marking the completion of CHV’s support for these venues.

Sarah Franczak, Chief Operating Officer at Central Hall Westminster, commented: “We are proud of what we have achieved with the teams in Edinburgh and York. These transitions reflect the heart of Central Hall Venues’ mission to support Methodist venues in building skills, confidence and foundations to operate independently while continuing to serve their communities. Looking ahead, our focus turns to the continued development of CHW and its role within the London meetings and events industry.”

This announcement comes during a period of growth and investment for Central Hall Westminster. Recent investments in the venue include the opening of the newly located Wesley Café and the creation of the Wesley Suite, part of an ongoing initiative to enhance the experience for visitors and community groups, and position Central Hall Westminster as the largest heritage venue in Westminster.
