The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Events has confirmed that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Tuesday 3 March 2026 at 1pm in Portcullis House, Westminster.
The AGM is held each year in accordance with Parliamentary requirements, ensuring that the APPG fulfils its obligations within four months of the end of its reporting year, which concludes on 17 April 2026.
As required under new Parliamentary procedures, the meeting will be chaired by an Independent Chair, nominated by the Office of the Commissioner of Standards. In line with updated rules, the AGM must take place in person on the Parliamentary estate, on a sitting day for both Houses.
Martin Rhodes MP, Chair of the APPG for Events, commented: “The APPG for Events plays a vital role in representing the interests of the UK events sector within Parliament. Our AGM is an important opportunity to reaffirm that commitment, hear directly from Members and outline our ongoing work to ensure the industry’s voice continues to be heard at the highest levels.”
PR & Communications agency Davies Tanner, through its The Business of Events Think Tank and Advocacy Network, manages the APPG for Events and acts as a Special Advisor to the group.
