Leading conference and events venue, Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) has launched EICC Gateway – a new bid and delegate support service designed to enhance the overall delegate experience and support the successful delivery of events.
EICC Gateway will act as a single point of connection between event organisers and the venue’s extensive wider network of ambassadors, partners, suppliers, hotels, and city infrastructure. By coordinating city-wide expertise and support, the service makes it easier for organisers to create winning bids and deliver world changing events.
Designed to simplify and strengthen bid delivery, EICC Gateway’s comprehensive range of services includes accommodation support, with negotiated room blocks and allocations through its network of hotel contacts; delegate discount packages offering exclusive deals on travel, dining, shopping and activities across Edinburgh; and tailored site visits.
It also offers partner and supplier matchmaking, connecting clients with academic and industry experts, accommodation providers, social programme venues, event suppliers, professional conference organisers (PCOs) and destination management companies (DMCs).
EICC Gateway also provides dedicated impact and legacy support, ensuring every event possible leaves a meaningful and measurable mark on Edinburgh and the communities it serves.
Carron Webster, Sales and Marketing Director of the EICC, said: “Organisers today are looking for more than just a venue – they want a partner that understands the destination, can open doors to local connections and help create experiences that delegates will genuinely remember.
“A great example of this in action was the Pensions UK Investment Conference, which came to Edinburgh for the first time this year. Through our Future Leaders programme, we connected 30 final-year students from Heriot-Watt and Edinburgh Napier universities with government ministers, regulators and senior industry figures. It created a real bridge between academic learning and the realities of industry and that’s exactly the kind of lasting legacy we want events at the EICC to leave behind.
“With EICC Gateway, we’re able to support organisers far beyond the venue itself. Whether it’s strengthening bids, connecting them with the right partners across the city or helping shape meaningful delegate experiences, we want to make it easier for events to have a lasting impact on both their audience and Edinburgh as a destination.”
