Visions Group, the established powerhouse behind some of the UK’s most ambitious live events, is proud to announce the creation of two new business units – Technical Overlay by Visions and Visions Live – alongside a refreshed leadership team to support this next chapter of growth.
With over 25 years as a family-run, solutions-focused group, Visions has consistently delivered industry-leading services across power, lighting, structures, video and audio – often under the radar, but always at the highest level. Today’s announcement marks a major step forward in aligning the group’s full offering and creating greater value for clients across public, private, and cultural sectors.
Group CEO and founder Chris Norman will now lead the newly established Technical Overlay Division; a business focused on large-format structural and overlay solutions. Supporting Chris in the delivery of this business is James Anderson, who steps into the role of Commercial Director. James brings with him over 20 years of experience from companies including The NEC Group, GL Events, Arena Group, and Star Live, adding vital commercial and operational strength to the technical team.
At the same time, Chris has appointed Lee Dennison as CEO of Visions Live, now the umbrella business that includes Visions, Fisher Productions, and Dobson Sound. Lee brings a wealth of industry knowledge from leadership roles at Creative Technology, White Light, Delta Sound, and Autograph Sound. “Our business has been growing steadily, year on year, and now was the right time to make a change.” says Chris Norman. “Creating two clear, focused delivery businesses gives us greater ability to grow with our clients’ evolving needs. Lee brings the experience, credibility, and strategic insight to lead Visions Live into its next phase, while James and I continue to focus on the technical overlay work that’s so central to our DNA.”
To support the new structure, additional strategic leadership roles have been appointed:
Tanya Cohen joins as Chief Commercial Officer for Visions Live, bringing extensive experience in exhibition and event strategy, growth, sales and delivery.
Sarah Hamilton moves into the newly created role of Group Client Experience Director, ensuring a consistent and elevated customer journey across all group brands.
Bill Woods becomes Operations Director, reinforcing a tightly integrated delivery approach across technical and production disciplines.
Keith Palmer continues to support the group as Chief Finance Officer.
This strategic expansion enables a more responsive, unified and scalable service – combining technical infrastructure and creative delivery with a client-first mindset.
“Chris and I spent a lot of time shaping the right structure, and it was clear to me that Visions is one of those companies that quietly delivers world-class work – but never shouts about it,” says Lee Dennison. “That humility, combined with an incredibly strong team and untapped potential, is exactly what drew me back into the industry. Visions, Fisher, and Dobsons each have their own strengths, and now we’re creating a more joined-up approach that truly aligns with how clients want to deliver events today.
Tanya Cohen says “I’m thrilled to step into the role of Chief Commercial Officer at Visions Live. With my experience across the sector of strategic commercial growth and leadership, and with the support of an exceptional commercial team, we’re ready to raise the bar across the industry. We have some exciting developments on the horizon, and this marks the beginning of an ambitious new chapter for us and our clients. Stay tuned, as there’s much more to come“.
Sarah Hamilton as Group Client Experience Director suggests that the recent changes within the Visions Group is just the start “We’ve been hard at work bringing in some fantastic new talent to strengthen every division across the Visions Group. My focus is always on ensuring our clients receive exceptional service and delivery – and I’m genuinely excited about the experience and expertise joining our team. These new additions will empower our existing team, help us exceed client expectations, and give us the capacity to truly showcase the incredible work we do”.
James Anderson, the newly appointed Commercial Director adds “This is the perfect time in the companies journey for me to join the Group, as we expand and grow the technical overlay side of our business. This is made up of modular temporary structures, full internal design and build including our existing inventory of temporary power equipment, with electrical distribution and generators. We already have some amazing contracts and with my knowledge and experience, we will continue to deliver the same level of service, whilst expanding into new markets”.
“We’ve always looked at what’s around us and asked how we can do things better,” adds Chris. “Now we’re not just building for events – we’re building the right leadership, structure, and strategy to deliver the next generation of experiences.”
