Spencer House, a stunning 18th-century aristocratic palace in the heart of St James’s, has been announced as the host of The Business of Events (TBOE) Westminster Dinner for 2026.

This annual invitation-only private dinner will take place on 6 July 2026 on the eve of The Business of Events Policy Forum at IET London: Savoy Place.

The dinner, which will be hosted in the venue’s Great Room, will be attended by senior figures from across Whitehall, including several members of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events and its chair Martin Rhodes MP as well as senior representatives from government departments and event industry organisations.

Built between 1756-1766 for the First Lord and Lady Spencer overlooking Green Park, Spencer House stands as one of London’s most magnificent townhouses, where generations hosted lavish Season entertainments for artists, politicians, and royalty amid opulent art-filled rooms. Today, it remains a rare surviving gem of 18th-century aristocratic grandeur.

Janine Leigh-Wood, Managing Director, Spencer House said: “We are delighted to welcome The Business of Events Westminster Dinner to Spencer House on 6 July 2026. Hosting this prestigious gathering of policymakers, APPG for Events members and senior industry leaders in our magnificent State Rooms, once the stage for the Spencer family’s legendary entertainments, perfectly embodies our heritage as London’s finest surviving 18th-century palace. It will be a privilege to provide an unforgettable setting for vital conversations shaping the future of the UK business events sector.”

A spokesperson from The Business of Events said: “Spencer House is one of London’s most extraordinary settings, and we are honoured to bring our signature Westminster Dinner here this July. This annual gathering brings together influential voices from government and the events sector, and the opportunity to do so in surroundings of such historical significance feels entirely fitting. We look forward to welcoming our guests to what promises to be a truly memorable evening.”

The Business of Events Policy Forum, which will take place at IET London: Savoy Place on 7 July 2026, is an invitation-only event, but delegates can apply for tickets to attend here.
