The Science Museum in South Kensington is experiencing a strong November for corporate events, with high demand for its purpose-built event spaces and galleries resulting in a triple event day.
In a demonstration of operational excellence and venue versatility, the museum hosted three major corporate events on the same day. The triple-event day on 6th November underscored the museum’s growing appeal to diverse sectors and its ability to deliver seamless experiences across multiple spaces, even under high demand.
The day’s lineup showcased the corporate event teams’ ability to pivot between formats, audiences, and atmospheres with precision. The day started with a cutting-edge tech conference in Illuminate for a repeat client which made full use of the advanced AV and flexible layout to accommodate the 250 guests. A high-energy education-sector awards ceremony for 390 guests required a full day set up and combined the cinematic impact of IMAX: The Ronson Theatre with aviation-themed hospitality in Flight. Taking place simultaneously was a black-tie 150th anniversary dinner and reception in the atmospheric Medicine gallery and Making the Modern World for 300 guests from an engineering firm.
The team delivered three distinct experiences for over 900 guests, all within a single day. Each event made full use of the museum’s distinct spaces and expert event delivery, reflecting its appeal to clients across industries – from tech and education to engineering.
Ben Fawcett, Head of Events at the Science Museum, comments: “This kind of operational coordination is a great example of what our team and venue can achieve. Delivering three large-scale events in one day is no small feat, and it speaks volumes about the capability and dedication of our team. It’s also a great example of how our spaces can be tailored to suit very different client needs. We’re proud to be a trusted venue for returning clients and to play a role in hosting events that are not only logistically complex but also creatively inspiring.”
