The Meetings Industry Association (MIA) has extended the submission deadline for the 2026 miaList, giving those working in the business meetings and events sector an extra to week to finalise their nominations.
Following a high volume of interest from across the industry, entries were originally due to close on 17 July but will now be accepted until 5pm on 24 July.

Shonali Devereaux, chief executive of the MIA, said: “We’ve seen a brilliant response to this year’s miaList, and it’s inspiring to see the volume of talent and achievements there is to celebrate across the sector, and we want to make sure everyone has the chance to finalise their nominations and submissions. These awards are all about recognising the people and organisations going the extra mile for our sector, and a little extra time means even more inspiring stories get shared.”
The miaList awards will be presented at the East Midlands Conference Centre on 4 November, with the shortlist to be announced on 12 August.
