Design Museum announces playful new exhibition in partnership with Intuit Mailchimp

The Design Museum has partnered with Intuit Mailchimp on a new interactive exhibition that explores email’s transformational powers and how its impact goes far beyond simply being a communication tool. This playful new exhibition draws huge parallels with the business world and will be available for private viewings.

Opening on 28th September 2023, the ‘Email is Dead’ exhibition will lead visitors through an engaging journey of the history of email from its beginnings in the 1970s to the future of 2070. With the acceleration of new technologies like AI and new methods of connecting online, the display will ask: how will email shape our future?

The Mailchimp x Design Museum partnership is just one of many projects over the last few years with high-profile organisations who share the museum’s values to create meaningful activations that resonate with and engage consumers and draw a greater audience reach.

Livia Puggini, Head of Commercial Hire & Events, said: “Our partnership with Intuit Mailchimp is exciting on many levels. We’re thrilled to once again be working with a high-profile company to host a thought-provoking activation of this kind. Helping to bring a brand to life in this way is hugely rewarding for us as a team as we look to help our clients connect with their consumers, attract a new demographic, and make a greater impact.

“This exhibition, like all those at the museum, is available for private viewings and we expect this display to be particularly pertinent to our corporate clients with email remaining the primary communication tool for the world’s businesses. This engaging exhibition is a great way to get your teams thinking more critically about the role of email in day-to-day life and how this might change in the future, which can only be a good thing for your business!”

‘Email is Dead’ runs from 28th September – 22nd October 2023. To enquire about booking a private viewing, contact the Design Museum team by calling 020 3862 5907 or emailing venuehire@designmuseum.org
