De Vere Cotswold Water Park, in Gloucestershire, is delighted to announce the completion of a significant refurbishment programme, enhancing both its event spaces and guest accommodation to deliver an elevated experience for business and leisure guests.
The hotel’s Mallard Suite, including its breakout spaces, bar and meeting areas, has undergone a refresh with new carpeting, redecoration, a redesigned bar and upgraded tea and coffee stations.
The venue has also unveiled a thoughtfully refreshed collection of 69 bedrooms designed to further enhance the guest experience while celebrating the hotel’s tranquil lakeside surroundings.

Blending comfort with contemporary country style, the refurbishment has focused on creating warm, welcoming spaces inspired by the natural beauty of the Cotswold Lakes. Soft lake-inspired tones of blue, grey and taupe run throughout the redesigned interiors, paired with subtle panelling, calming textures and fully refurbished en-suites to create a relaxing retreat for guests, an investment of circa £1m.
Fifteen rooms have been elevated from Standard to Deluxe category, offering direct outdoor access and beautiful views across the lake. Each space has been carefully reimagined with new furnishings, layered finishes and modern touches to provide a greater sense of comfort and connection to the surrounding landscape.
Guests staying in the refreshed rooms can now enjoy new beds, bedside tables with integrated USB and USB-C charging points and thoughtfully selected decorative details that reflect the hotel’s natural setting.
The hotel has additionally introduced a new category of Superior Rooms. These newly refurbished bedrooms are complemented by calming lake views and carefully curated interiors. A total of 24 Superior Rooms have been completed.
Elsewhere across the property, 30 Standard Rooms with lake views have been enhanced with new 50-inch smart TVs.
Dan Kelly, General Manager at De Vere Cotswold Water Park, said: “We’re delighted to share the completion of our latest enhancements at the hotel. These upgrades have been designed with our guests in mind, bringing even greater comfort, modern amenities and those much-loved views across the lakes. Whether it’s a short break or a longer stay, we want every guest to leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.”
