BELGRADE THEATRE COVENTRY ANNOUNCES FAMILIARISATION EVENT FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES

WEDNESDAY 19 JULY 2023, 9.30am – 1pm

Working in collaboration with Hartley Consulting & Events, The Events and Commercial Team at Belgrade Theatre Coventry has announced that they will be hosting a familiarisation event to welcome, and introduce local businesses and event organisers in Coventry and the wider region to the theatre’s extensive range of venue spaces for hire, and other relevant services.

The event on Wednesday 19th July from 9:30am – 1pm will consist of a welcome from CEO Laura Elliot, followed by two workshops, the first led by the Belgrade’s Creative Producer, where attendees can explore a range of techniques taken from the world of theatre, designed to enhance public speaking and presentation skills. The second workshop will teach key Team Building skills, and following a tour of the theatre, there will be a final networking drinks session to close the event.

The Belgrade is Coventry’s largest professional theatre, producing and presenting a diverse range of shows, events and ground-breaking community and education initiatives. In its landmark building, across the region, the UK and online, it uses theatre to entertain, inspire, share the city’s stories, uncover hidden histories, and unleash the creativity of diverse communities.

The Belgrade also offers businesses and event organisers a range of versatile venue spaces for meetings, conferences, or events. The theatre’s in-house catering team can cater from small meetings for 8 people through to large scale conferences with up to 850 delegates. Belgrade Production Services, the theatre’s specialist AV, staging and event production division also can and does support business large and small with all their venue needs.

Chris Hartley, MD of Hartley Consulting & Events said “Due to its location, connectivity and road and rail network Coventry is one of the most popular destinations for events and conferences. Belgrade Theatre has an amazing range of event spaces, our familiarisation event will help us showcase the Theatre as an event venue to the region’s businesses.”

Belgrade Theatre Trust is a registered charity, with all proceeds raised from venue hire being reinvested into the work that the theatre delivers.

CEO Laura Elliot said, “The Belgrade Theatre has always stood proudly at the heart of Coventry’s music, theatre, and cultural offering – a place to be entertained, inspired and champion creativity. But we’re so much more! We look forward to opening our doors to anyone in the region and beyond, who might be able to use our versatile spaces and services for all their business needs.”

Businesses and event organisers can register interest in attending the event by emailing conferencing@belgrade.co.uk.
