beam, the association for the business events, accommodation and meetings sector, has opened registration speaker for its 2025 Annual Forum, taking place on 3–4 July at Novotel London West.
This year’s Annual Forum will explore ‘Relationships 2.0 – The Heartbeat of Hospitality and Human Connection’, a powerful and timely theme that puts the spotlight on what drives the industry – authenticity, trust, honesty and bravery.
Opening the event will be Jack Rankin – MP for Windsor and officer of the APPG for Events – who will share his insights on the importance of the events industry to the UK economy and its wider social and cultural impact. His welcome address will underline the sector’s role in driving business, inclusion, tourism and innovation.
The forum’s opening keynote, Marianna Saraceni, will deliver an inspiring session on ‘Finding Your Happiness – Why Human Connection Matters’. With a background in leadership development and wellbeing, Saraceni will explore how relationships shape our impact as leaders and professionals.
Alongside the keynote, the agenda features standout speakers including Helen Packham, a TEDx speaker coach and leadership strategist, who will share how storytelling and vulnerability can build trust and transform personal influence. Economist John Rowland will offer a clear and practical outlook on the shifting economic landscape, helping attendees think strategically about what’s ahead for the sector. The programme also includes expert panels, breakout sessions, and a closing session designed to leave attendees more connected, more human, and more inspired.
One of the breakout sessions will be led by renowned international speaker and author Nigel Risner, whose session, ‘How to Communicate Like an Effective Zookeeper’. Known for his dynamic, no-nonsense style, in this interactive Risner will share real-world stories that challenge conventional thinking and empower attendees to lead with courage and authenticity.
Adding to the anticipation, the final day will feature a special keynote session – with the speaker to be unveiled in the coming weeks. This exciting finale promises to close the Forum on a powerful high of inspiration.
Louisa Watson, Chair of beam, commented: “This year’s Forum is going to be something really special. We’ve taken a fresh, heartfelt approach to the theme because we know that what’s driving real change in our industry isn’t just tech or strategy – it’s people. The energy, insight and emotion packed into these two days will be unlike anything else on the calendar. I’m very excited for what’s in store and can’t wait to welcome our members. If you attend one event this year – make it this one.”
The Forum also includes a networking celebration on the evening of 3 July, ‘A night in Havana’, complete with live music, street food, and dancing under the stars! Early Bird registration is available until 30 May 2025, and members can secure their place here.
