Academic Venue Solutions welcomes two new member venues

Academic Venue Solutions (AVS), the UK’s only sales and marketing consortium exclusive to academic venues welcomes two new venues in the South West into the portfolio, bringing the total members to 43.

Engineers’ House, located in the prestigious suburb of Clifton Down, in Bristol is a non-residential venue with 20 conference rooms accommodating up to 175 delegates, with ample onsite car parking and great connections from Temple Meads train station.  The venue offers fully interactive Hybrid Virtual Video Conference Facilities and in addition to the meeting space, there’s great outdoor space, to get delegates out of the classroom and into team building.

By contrast, Millfield School, offers two beautiful campuses set in the heart of Somerset offering state of the art facilities for a range of sporting events, meetings and conferences during vacations. With 662 study bedrooms, the concert hall for up to 2000 delegates and a great selection of outdoor sports facilities, Millfield Enterprises Event Organisers have years of experience and know how to make any event as stress free as possible.

When venues are looking to join a sales and marketing consortium, it is important to partner with the organisation which will help their business flourish.

The introduction of both venues into the consortium enhances the South West portfolio to five diverse venues, city centre and rural for event organisers seeking an academic venue to host their event.

Rachael Lee, Sales & Membership Director commented: “It’s great to welcome both Engineers’ House and Millfield School into AVS membership and we look forward to working with them in 2022 and beyond.  Whilst the pandemic continues to challenge the conference and events industry, here at AVS we are working even more closely with our members and our clients to bring confidence back to face to face events.  During 2021, our membership increased by 30% demonstrating the importance our consortium has to our venues to represent the academic venue sector within hospitality.”
