Independent travel management company HTS has announced the appointment of Nel Flint as Managing Director, marking a significant milestone as the business enters a new phase of strategic growth in 2026.
The appointment reflects HTS’s continued momentum following a year of strong performance, with the company securing major new client wins across multiple sectors and investing further in its reservations team. As demand grows for more agile, relationship-led travel and meetings management, HTS is strengthening its leadership to support both service expansion and long-term client partnerships.
Nel brings extensive experience across meetings, events and strategic travel management. She has held senior leadership roles across the industry, including at Zibrant and Capita Travel and Events (now Clarity), before returning to the sector in 2023 as Global Operations Director at BCD Meetings & Events. She later became Director of Operations for Strategic Meetings Management and Life Sciences, leading complex, compliance-led programmes for global clients and supporting large teams.
Commenting on the appointment, Julie Shorrock, CEO of HTS, said:
“Nel is an exceptional leader with a deep understanding of both the commercial and human sides of our industry. As HTS continues to grow, it was important to bring in someone who shares our values around service, relationships and flexibility, while also having the vision to help shape what comes next. Nel’s experience across meetings, events and strategic travel makes her the perfect fit for our next chapter.”
Nel Flint, Managing Director of HTS, added:
“HTS has built a strong reputation for high-touch service and trusted client partnerships, and I’m delighted to be joining the business at such an exciting point. As demand grows for integrated travel and meetings solutions, there’s a real opportunity to build on HTS’s strengths while bringing clarity, consistency and scale. I’m looking forward to working closely with you and the team to support our clients, develop our people and continue moving the business forward.”
Nel joins HTS at a pivotal time, as the well-established Travel Management Company looks to expand its offering within the meetings and events sector. Her background in operational leadership, strategic meetings management and people development aligns closely with HTS’s future focus. Her appointment follows the recent arrival of Sharon Bannister as Director of Business Development, strengthening the senior leadership team and signalling ambitious plans for the year ahead.
