Step inside the world of Wes Anderson: The Archives at the Design Museum

Unique opportunity to host a Wes Anderson-inspired event until July 2026

The Design Museum is offering event planners the opportunity to step inside the world of Wes Anderson with Wes Anderson: The Archives, which opened on 21 November 2025.

The major exhibition celebrates the director’s distinctive cinematic style, featuring over 700 objects from his personal archives, including storyboards, sketches, notebooks, costumes, props, puppets, and miniature models. Highlights include a candy-pink model of The Grand Budapest Hotel, vending machines from Asteroid City, and the FENDI fur coat worn by Margot Tenenbaum.

The experience doesn’t stop at the gallery doors, however, as the events team and its supplier partners are on hand to bring Wes Anderson’s visual storytelling to life with exclusive opportunities to host
Wes-inspired events, perfect for team socials, client entertaining and private parties. Options include:

  • Private viewings – giving guests exclusive access to the exhibition after-hours.
  • themed parties – from colour-coded décor and theatrical set pieces to tailored catering to create an immersive event that feels straight out of a movie.
  • Afternoon Tea with a twist – Restaurant Associates and the Design Museum have designed a Wes Anderson: The Archives-inspired afternoon tea, adding a playful culinary experience to any event.

Livia Puggini, Head of Commercial Partnerships & Events, comments: “This exhibition is full of creativity and little surprises at every turn. We’re thrilled to offer event organisers the chance to go beyond the display – whether that’s a private viewing, a full Wes Anderson inspired party or a themed afternoon tea to elevate a team social! It’s all about creating a memorable and impactful experience for teams and clients.”

Wes Anderson: The Archives runs until 26 July 2026. For venue hire, private bookings and bespoke events, contact our team: venuehire@designmuseum.org
