De Vere announces trio of new Sports Ambassadors

The partnership offers meeting and event organisers exclusive access to British sporting talent for conferences, corporate dinners and events –

De Vere, a collection of historic mansion house estates and distinctive contemporary hotels, has announced a partnership with three British athletes, bringing together Olympic champion swimmer James Guy MBE, Rugby World Cup winner and England and Saracens Winger Jess Breach and elite triathlete Hugo Milner, as its three new Sports Ambassadors.

De Vere’s Sports Ambassadors are available to book as an exclusive add-on for larger conferences, corporate dinners and events hosted across De Vere’s properties, giving organisers the opportunity to elevate their event and create a truly memorable experience for delegates and guests. Drawing on their experiences competing at the highest levels of sport, the athletes can offer unique insights into leadership, teamwork, resilience and performance, bringing fresh perspectives and inspiration to corporate audiences.

The partnership reflects De Vere’s commitment to driving positive change and building valued relationships, whilst supporting British sporting talent and investing in people who inspire others through their achievements. By working with James Guy, Jess Breach and Hugo Milner, De Vere is supporting three athletes at different stages of their sporting journeys, while creating opportunities to share their experiences and inspire others to discover the benefits of travel, wellbeing and time away from their sporting lives.

De Vere Co-CEOs Alan Corlett and Laurie Nicol said: “We’re incredibly proud to welcome James, Jess and Hugo to De Vere as our new Sports Ambassadors, and to support them as they continue their sporting journeys. It’s a privilege to be able to offer them a place to step away from the demands of training and competition, recharge and enjoy time away from the world of elite sport.

“While each of them comes from a very different sporting background, we hope our hotels will provide them with a space to relax, explore, spend time outdoors and simply switch off. As our partnership grows, De Vere will become somewhere they can enjoy not just in their professional lives, but with the people who matter to them too, whether that’s friends, family or wider colleagues. We’re excited to support them and give them the opportunity to experience De Vere in their own way, while sharing their stories and experiences with our guests and audiences.”

James Guy commented: “Being able to stay at De Vere with my family, explore the hotels and make the most of everything they have to offer is something I’m really looking forward to; whether that’s enjoying the grounds, relaxing together or getting out on the golf course at De Vere Wokefield Estate. Swimming has been such a big part of my life, and after years of training and competing, I really value having time to switch off and enjoy a change of pace.”

Jess Breach commented: “Rugby is a sport that demands a lot physically, and with training, matches and travelling for fixtures, making time to properly recover and reset is really important. I love the idea of having De Vere’s hotels as places where I can unwind, spend time with the people around me and enjoy a change of pace from the rugby. I’m looking forward to experiencing the hotels and sharing some of the journey with my followers across my social channels.”

Hugo Milner commented: “I’m really excited to be joining De Vere as a Sports Ambassador. Travelling and staying away from home is a big part of life as an athlete, whether that’s before a race, around training or during recovery. Having somewhere I can feel comfortable, prepare properly and recharge is really valuable, and I’m looking forward to having De Vere as part of that journey.”
