VUE CONFERENCES & EVENTS LAUNCHES CORPORATE GAMING PACKAGES

Coinciding with the recent release of ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,’ Vue Conferences & Events announces the launch of new gaming packages which can be used in a variety of ways. Either solely for team building, during conference breakouts or either side of a private screening.

National conference and events manager Simona Negretto said, “our packages are a fun addition to Vue’s conference and corporate hospitality offer. It’s utterly exhilarating to play video games on a huge screen! Plus, with so many ‘game themed’ films being released this year, I see this being a new trend that companies can incorporate as a fun addition to their event or as a stand-alone activity.”

Packages start from just £500+VAT and are curated to suit different size groups of up to 32 simultaneous players per screen. Clients can choose from a library of over 2,700 game titles using either retro or the latest consoles, meaning there’s a game to suit any type of event in any business sector. In addition, Vue can provide themed catering, set theming and digital signage to enhance the whole experience.

Negretto continued “Gaming has an incredibly broad appeal, from nostalgia games such as Pac Man and Space Invaders to the latest games being played in record numbers. And because we can host so many players on one screen it takes team co-operation to another world.”

From its last report in 2024, statistics from Video Games Europe* show that 54% of the population from 6-64 years of age play video games. 25.5 million people in the UK alone (51% of the population) and 45% are women. In 2023 the Global Video Games Industry published a report ‘The Power of Play.’ This showed the benefits of video gameplay on a social, mental and emotional level. 74% agreed that gameplay provided mental stimulation, 68% agreed that it helped one feel less stressed, 67% agreed that it provided an outlet from everyday challenges and lastly 75% agreed that there is a game for everyone.

Negretto concluded by saying “Our proposition allows organisers the ability to integrate serious fun into more formal events or just have a really fun day out of the office.”

Other ‘game themed’ films released this year are: Mortal Kombat on 8th May, Spiderman on 31st July, Street Fighter on 16th October, Resident Evil on 18th September and Jumanjii on 11th December. However, Vue can also request films, that tie in with relevant games, post mainstream screenings. So, availability can be flexible with notice of a minimum of three weeks.

Vue’s Corporate Gaming Packages are available at all Vue’s 93 locations in the UK.
