Opus Agency Acquires Wave to Scale Global Event Delivery

The move adds technical production capability and scales delivery in EMEA, strengthening Opus Agency’s global execution across markets.

Opus Agency, a global leader in event marketing, announced the acquisition of Wave Marketing Communications today, a UK-based full-service creative events agency known for its production strength and delivery. The Wave team and business will fully integrate into Opus Agency, further strengthening its established EMEA presence and elevating its combined global capabilities.

The acquisition strengthens Opus Agency’s business at a time when event programs are becoming increasingly international, complex, and strategically important to brands.

This marks the first acquisition since EagleTree Capital’s investment in The Opus Group, signaling continued momentum in building a more globally capable and connected business.

Adding to Opus Agency’s quickly growing UK-based team—which has grown 100% year-over-year—Wave strengthens that foundation and adds deeper production capability, expanded scale in-region, and greater ability to deliver seamlessly across the Americas and APAC.

The acquisition also brings a dedicated technical division and a significant equipment inventory, providing the operational flexibility and speed of execution required for modern global experiences.

Quotes from Leadership

Dena Lowery, President of Opus Agency, highlighted the vision behind the move:
“Our vision is to be a category of one, powering experiences that shape tomorrow. Acquiring Wave strengthens our global business at a time when clients need more from their event partners across markets. It adds premium production capability, technical depth, and a leadership team that shares our standards and our drive to outrun ordinary.”

Tony Barton, Co-Founder of Wave, emphasized the opportunity for scale:
“Wave was built on a simple standard: bold ideas, delivered with creative precision and technical excellence. Joining Opus Agency gives our team the platform to scale that standard across more markets, take on more complex global programs, and create even more value for the brands who trust us.”

Kim Kopetz, President and CEO of The Opus Group, noted the network-wide advantage:
“The Opus Group is built to give brands access to specialized agencies, scalable resources, and the strength of a connected network. Bringing Wave into Opus Agency expands that advantage, strengthening our EMEA capability and broadening what our teams can deliver for clients across regions.”

Wave will transition over to the Opus Agency brand over the coming months, joining the agency’s existing London-based team of event leaders. The combined entity will leverage shared flagship client relationships to deliver seamless, multi-market programs with greater consistency and broader reach.
